Made in October 2024.
Ellsworth Kelly's 'Spectrum Colors Arranged by Chance' series of paintings are fantastic.
When Kelly first produced this series in 1951 it would have been an incredibly labourious process to place each square -- now computers can do the heavy lifting of both placement and colour selection.
In my version I have allowed both the size and number of squares to be toyed with, allowing sparse or dense versions to be created. Some light noise added over the top creates a more realistic looking imitation of Kelly's work.
