Made in October 2024.
Ellsworth Kelly's 'Red Yellow Blue White' initially appears to have randomly coloured squares placed in rows and columns, but once you start looking you'll see that there are rules to the piece.
The columns mirror each other vertically - the first and last columns are the same, as are the second and penultimate rows - and I've reflected that reflection in my implementation.
There are also rules around repetition - coloured blocks don't repeat in each column, except in the first and last rows. I've stuck to a similar approach in my recreation.
In my recreation you can also tweak the number of blocks in each column - but colour repetition is allowed if there are more rows than colours to choose from.
